How long does it take to sprout using the Green Mung Beans Sprouting Kit?
It takes 3 short days from start to finish, to sprout fresh Green Mung Bean sprouts. Day 1 of the Sprouting process: sort, wash, and soak. Day 2 is the rinse, drain and watch the sprouting begin. Day 3 you rinse and drain again, then you can eat your fresh, live sprouted organic food that you just grew in your own Sprouting Kit.
Does weather/temperature affect the sprouting process?
Yes, in warm temperatures the sprouting process is quicker and in colder temperatures the sprouting process can take longer. Therefore, with this in mind, if it is summer time or you live in a warmer climate, the entire sprouting process can occur in 24 to 36 hours and therefore you should adjust your steps. Likewise, if you live in a colder climate, the sprouting time may take a bit longer than we originally describe.
What does plant based protein mean?
Many people don’t know that beans, vegetables, nuts and grains contain high amounts of protein. One ounce of Green Mung Beans has 7 grams of protein, equivalent to the same amount of protein in one ounce of chicken. Avocados have 10 grams of protein, broccoli contains 5 grams of protein and cashews and almonds have 4 grams of protein. Contrary to what many Americans believe, eating a diet consisting mainly of beans, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and fruits is protein rich and very healthy. Plant based protein foods provide individuals with a variety of rich nutrients, vitamins and minerals important to an energetic lifestyle.
What do Green Mung Beans taste like?

We are a company that provides the highest quality, best tasting and most sproutable Green Mung Beans. We’re proud to say our beans are full of flavor and taste slightly sweet and crisp when sprouted. We’re excited for you to try them!
What makes our Green Mung Beans Sprouting Kit better than others?
The Green Mung Beans Sprouting Kit is an upscale, attractive, easy, modern and sustainable stainless steel kit that you will be proud to display on your kitchen countertop. Our sleek and elegant sprouter is an all-in-one kit where you can sort, wash, soak, rinse, sprout and store all-in-one container. After researching, using and trying the various sprouting methods that currently exist, we developed a sprouting kit that is easy to clean. We found other sprouters to be difficult to use, messy, tedious, flimsy and requiring multiple kitchenware items. We’re proud to give our all-in-one Sprouting Kit as a gift and hope you will be too!
How do you wash the sprouting kit?
We recommend that you hand wash your sustainable, stainless steel Sprouting Kit with warm water ad soap, then towel dry.
Do Green Mung Beans give you gas?
Eating Green Mung Beans is ideal for people with digestive issues and sensitive stomachs. These beans are easily digestible, anti-inflammatory and contain oligosaccharides to prevent gas and bloating, unlike other beans. There are high amounts of fiber in Green Mung Beans, thereby preventing constipation. When the beans are soaked, rinsed and sprouted, gases are released, thus reducing the “gas” in your digestive system when eaten.
What Else Can You Use the Green Mung Beans Stainless Steel Sprouting Kit For?
Many of our customers have enjoyed sprouting Green Mung Beans and want to know what else they can sprout using the Green Mung Beans Sprouting Kit. We love this question. You can use the Green Mung Beans Sprouter to sprout other beans, seeds and nuts. Here are 3 great options:
- Sprouting Mixed Beans and Legumes: You can sprout green lentils, garbanzo beans, black beans and other legumes mixed in with your Green Mung Beans. Get organic, non-GMO premium sprouting quality beans, wash, soak and sprout along with your Green Mung Beans. Even though the sprout lengths will be different for each bean, in 3 days, you will have grown your own fresh power packed snack or meal again! When the beans are done sprouting, add organic extra virgin olive oil, and Himalayan pink sea salt to taste and enjoy your new raw, nutritious sprouted bean medley. It will taste amazing and satisfy your hunger!
- Sprouting Seeds: You can sprout raw pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and other types of seeds. We love sprouting pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds since those are the easiest organic ones to find. Pumpkin seeds take 3 days to sprout and sunflower seeds take only 1 day to sprout after they have been soaked. Once the seeds are soaked, we add them to a fresh spring greens salad with avocado, shredded beets and carrots with fresh squeezed lime, salt and pepper. Clean, raw, nutritious and delicious!
- Sprouting Nuts: You can make your own almond milk and cashew nut butter with the Green Mung Beans Sprouting Kit. For almond milk, soak 1 cup of almonds and a pinch of salt for 8-12 hours, drain and rinse (you don’t have to let them fully sprout). Remove the almonds from the sprouter, place in your blender, add 4 cups filtered water and blend. Strain mixture into a pot using a cheesecloth. Place liquid back into the blender, add vanilla extract and stevia to taste, and you have your own fresh almond milk! Easy! (If you don’t want to strain the almonds, you don’t have to, your milk will just be dense with almond pulp at the bottom). You can even soak cashews which only take 2-3 hours to soak and don’t sprout. Drain and rinse the cashews, place in blender with soaked and pitted dates, a pinch of cinnamon, with liquid refined coconut oil for blending and you have your own fresh cashew nut butter, yummy!
